Terms of Service

By accessing or using RunLeague ("Service"), including our mobile application and website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction) to use RunLeague. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Your account

You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You may authenticate using email or Sign in with Apple. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

Use of the Service

You agree to use RunLeague only in compliance with applicable laws and these terms. You may not misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use automated means to scrape or collect data.

Apple HealthKit integration

RunLeague requires access to Apple HealthKit to read your step count, walking and running distance, and active energy burned. This access is necessary for the app to function — without it, RunLeague cannot track your activity or provide its core features.

By enabling HealthKit access, you understand and agree that:

• RunLeague reads HealthKit data solely to display your activity stats, power challenges, leaderboards, streaks, and XP within the Service.
• Daily aggregated data (steps, distance, calories) is synced to our servers so your progress is available across sessions and visible on leaderboards to other users.
• If background delivery is enabled, the app may receive HealthKit updates periodically even when not in the foreground.
• HealthKit data will not be used for advertising, sold to third parties, or shared for purposes unrelated to health, fitness, or wellness.
• You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in your device settings under Health > Data Access & Devices.

User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., profile information, display name, avatar). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service — for example, showing your name and stats on leaderboards. You represent that you have the rights to share any content you upload.

Social features and leaderboards

RunLeague includes social features such as clans, friends, leaderboards, and challenges. Your display name, avatar, activity stats, and leaderboard rank may be visible to other users. By participating, you consent to this visibility.

Health and fitness disclaimer

RunLeague is intended for informational, motivational, and social purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, changing, or intensifying an exercise program.

Activity data displayed in RunLeague (including data from Apple HealthKit) may not be completely accurate. You use activity tracking, challenges, and goals at your own risk. RunLeague is not responsible for any injury, health issue, or adverse outcome arising from your physical activities.

Push notifications

With your permission, RunLeague may send push notifications for step-goal reminders, challenge updates, and other Service-related alerts. You can manage or disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service with or without notice. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.

Intellectual property

All content, design, and technology in the Service (excluding user-submitted content) are the property of RunLeague or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RunLeague and its affiliates, officers, and employees are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, injury, or health-related outcomes. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary for security or legal reasons. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which RunLeague operates, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
